چکیده

The accumulation of sewage sludge is a severe problem in many countries. Its utilization through composting has the potential to become widely applied technology. From this perspective, our study investigated diversity fungi mesophilic and thermophilic habitats when biosolids, cow manure wheat straw. It was conducted using metagenomic approach next-generation Illumina HiSeq2000 sequencing reveal fungal diversity. We found significantly enhanced microbial activity phase. In contrast, enzyme β-glucosidase 29% higher zone. range α-diversity values more pronounced than based on indices. At class level, were represented by Sordariomycetes—58.7%, Pezizomycetes—15.1% Agaricomycetes—12.3%, while most abundant Sordariomycetes—39.5% Pezizomycetes—9.8%. further clarification genera diversity, it striking that at 37.2 °C, Psathyrella with 35.91%, followed Chaetomidium 20.11%. Among thermophiles, Thielavia Mortierella common. Further research changes over time needed manage metabolic processes obtaining quality soil amendment.

Characteristics of Mesophilic Bacteria Isolated during Thermophilic Composting of Sewage Sludge.

The degree of inactivation by UV irradiation was different between vegetative cells and spores of bacteria isolated from sewage sludge composting at 60 degrees C. By using this property, a method to estimate the spore ratio of a mixture of vegetative cells and spores was presented. This UV irradiation method was applied to the estimation of the spore ratio of sewage sludge compost samples colle...

Effect of seeding during thermophilic composting of sewage sludge.

The effect of seeding on the thermophilic composting of sewage sludge was examined by measuring the changes in CO2 evolution rates and microbial numbers. Although the succession of thermophilic bacteria and thermophilic actinomycetes clearly reflected the effect of seeding, no clear difference was observed in the overall rate of composting or quality of the composted product.

Biodegradation of Lignocelluloses in Sewage Sludge Composting and Vermicomposting

Aims of the Study: The aim of this study was to determine the amount of lignin degradation and biodegradation of organic matter and change of biomass under compost and vermicomposting of sewage sludge. Materials & Methods: Sawdust was added to sewage sludge at 1:3 weight bases to Carbon to Nitrogen ratio of 25:1 for composting or vermicomposting. Lignin and volatile solids were deter...

Anaerobic Co-digestion of Sewage Sludge with Cheese Whey under Thermophilic and Mesophilic Conditions

Anaerobic digestion of sewage sludge (SS) and co-digestion with cheese whey (CW) was evaluated in batch conditions under mesophilic and thermophilic regimens. Results indicated that the co-digestion can be successfully attained despite some inhibitory stages that may be initially present due to the accumulation of volatile fatty acids. Degradation of the mixture SS-CW followed a similar pattern...

Heavy metals fractionation during the thermophilic phase of sewage sludge composting in aerated static piles.

An aerated static pile system with temperature feedback control was used for the composting of sewage sludge amended with olive tree leaves in a 1:1 (SS1) and 1:2 (SS2) v/v ratio, on two different occasions. The two piles were approximate 20 m3 each of similar dimensions; 2.0 wide at the base, 1.3 m height and 11 m long. Samples were taken from the core of the piles on four occasions: day 0 (es...
